Welcome to the 4th Annual USA Track & Field National 5K Cross Country Disability Championship Meet's Information Page! Conducted under the auspices of the Rolling Thunder Special Needs Program and the Long Island Association of USA Track & Field & Sanctioned by USATF Course: A scenic "runner friendly" 3.107 mile course through the beautiful trails of Sunken Meadow State Park Awards Overall Male & Female winners, as well as... The first three male and the first three female open & Masters finishers in each of the following disabilities: *Above the knee amputees *Below the knee amputees *Double amputees *Arm amputees *Blind (11, 12, 13) *Cerebral Palsy (36, 37, 38) *Cognitive Delay Athletes (60, 61, 62, 63) *Autistic athletes (64, 65) ***Special Awards for juniors 6-15 with medals to top male & female finishers in each disability *** *You must be a member of USATF and a US Citizen to win a USATF award. There will be a special category of awards for foreign athletes. This is a USATF championship meet. Although you do not have to be a USATF member to compete you must be a currently paid up USATF member & a US citizen in order to be eligible for a USATF championship award. If you are competing as a team all members but belong to USATF. Transportation will be available between the Hyatt Windwatch and Sunken Meadow State Park. This hotel & race are not more then 20 minutes from Long Island Macarthur Airport and 1 hour from NYC airports. All athletes and volunteers are cordially invited to be our guests in the beautiful grand ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch
